What Does A VP Do Anyway?
This question has come up often
lately and I will answer as best as I can.
First a little history, the club has not had a VP for many years. I always wondered as a bystander what would
he do anyway. And now in retrospect I don’t
see how the club could function without a VP.
Here are ten items done on a weekly basis.
1. GERWC weekly Email
2. Check for Race Day
conflicts for our Club Races and Races we will be Timing.
3. Create a New
Brochure for Every Race.
4. Make Web Page
Updates Daily
5. Time Races
6. Post Race Results
to the Website (Deadline is Noon for 9am Races).
7. Compile My monthly
reports for the monthly club meeting
8. Update my Weekly
email list to include all new members emails.
9. Test and charge all
timing equipment for the next race.
10. Run my weekly mileage.

Vice President's Message
Get out there
and run, no matter how fast or slow, every mile counts, toward the goal
of
better living and faster running.
No
more excuses: it's too hot, it’s too cold, it’s
raining, I am tired, I have too
much to do. I have
used all these
excuses and more. And
I have run with
all these conditions and all kinds of pain. So go out there and get a
couple of
miles in. Get out
there and have fun
running; it doesn’t matter if you do 1 or 10 miles, just have
fun with it. On
your worst days it can relieve tension and
frustration from all the day's work.
Sometimes you need to run alone
and be in your own little world with no
one bothering you. Now
go out there and
break some personal records.
