Correspondence
1. YMCA is offering the club a table at their Mini-Marathon Expo Friday October 6-7, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Volunteers will be needed both days

Reports:

 Race Timing
1. November 4 is the Ray Rayl 5k at the SWIRCA Center and the card system will be used.
2. Thanksgiving Day 5k and Jingle Bell 5k’s will use the computer system. The was discussion on expanding the chute for the Thanksgiving race

Web Page
1. Things are going well with the web site and a list with each members name will soon be added.

Banquet
1. Lisa Bell is available as guest speaker as long as the club is ok with her sponsor setting up a booth. The consensus was to approve and Gordon will follow up.

Events Calendar
1. The next social run is September 20 at Shane Threads house. There were 14 at the last run. There was discussion concerning do two runs a month starting next spring.

Walkers 
1. The club received many calls as a result of the newspaper article about us. Bob Head and Ray Pritchett met and walked with some of these people. There was a discussion about focusing on walker recruiting. 

Membership
1. There have been four new members added since the last report. The e mail list is increasing as well. A special meeting will be held to address membership issues.

Scholarship
1. There was consensus to give two $500.00 awards next year using the same procedures and dates.

Step Up Club
1. Three new members have been added since the last report

St. Patrick’s Day 7k
1. The organizers have chosen not to hire us to provide timing next year.

Jingle Bell 5k
1. The club will provide timing and road control at this race and Gordon will co-ordinate assignments.

GERWC Clothing
1. Following a discussion Cedric and Chad will be checking prices on racing singlets as a promotion for the club. It was also agreed that each board member be given a blue GERWC polo shirt.

Newsletter
1. The next issue will have a Presidents Message. We are asking for stories about the YMCA Mini-Marathon to go in a later issue.

Miscellaneous
1. Cedric presented the club with a renewal form for liability insurance. A motion was made and carried to approve that expense.
2. There was a consensus to allow Cedric to contact 5/3 Bank and Casino Aztar about sponsoring the 2007 Otter Stadium 5k event.
3. The club time machine is in need of repair. There was a consensus to send it off now for repair while we had no timing scheduled. There was discussion about having a back up time machine.

Being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:40 pm
