Treasurer's report was read and approved

Gordon Benfield gave a report on the summer track program. Central High School will be the location at a cost of $500.00 for five meets. A motion was made and approved to sponsor the program.

Race Timing: Mike said the club will be timing the St. Pat 5K this Saturday and the Toyota race in April.

Richard stated the YMCA is planning a half marathon later this year. He is on the race committee.

Newsletter: Jerry said items for the next newsletter will be late April

Picnic: Don has checked the availability and cost of shelters at Wesselman Park. Half of shelter #2 in the shaded area near the tennis courts are $53.00 for the day. The board approved the club providing at no cost to club members, the meat and soft drinks as in past years and the shelter house. Members will bring side dishes and desserts. The date is August 15 at 3:30 PM with food served at 4:30. Games, activities, and door prizes new for this year.

Membership: It was reported there are 79 GERWC members to date (50 individuals-29 families)

Scholarship: Joe reported there are15 applications to date to be considered. The deadline for submitting is April 24 and will be given in July.

Surveys: The board reviewed the surveys sent out last year. Richard, Don, and Tom will be a committee to analyze them and report back to the board at a later date.

Otters Stadium 5K Run: The run will take place this summer on a Saturday night. The exact date has yet to be determined. (Late Note: The Otter Stadium Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 6:00PM.)
